There's nothing like a beautiful holiday sweater to wear with dress pants or blue jeans. Both look great with sweaters and help make them very simple and versatile. On top of all that, either a form-fitting or loose sweater look great if they're made well and have a good fit. I found these lovely Christmas sweaters recently and thought I'd feature them for those of you who are still looking for something different, yet easy to wear or give as a gift. Enjoy!

Dreamy Faerie of Fall

Well, we're right smack in the middle of Fall right now, and I can't believe Thanksgiving is just around the corner!! I stumbled across a beautiful autumn faerie frock designed by Evangeline Miles of Evie's Closet the other day and just had to feature it. It's actually a gift for those joining the Evie's Closet group. If you are a true fantasy buff, you're already a member...if not, join! It's wonderful to receive the updates, plus the designer is a very generous gift giver if you're a member. This outfit is truly unique, magical and full of the typical Evie attention to detail. Clean, refreshing, mellow, cool, water, ocean...blue. There are many words and phrases that describe this lovely color, which happens to be my all time favorite :) This being said, what better than to wear my new water fae outfit I purchased from Wishbox and then travel to Roan for some beautiful scenery and backdrop choices.

Roan is one of the most beautiful sims I've seen in Second Life. I was in awe of everything from the music to the architecture, from the prevalence of the color blue to the gorgeous gardens, and from the magical ambiance to the constant glow among all the displayed objects. The sounds within the sim are so pretty (not the music, but the sound you hear when the music is off) and is alot like meditational music. It's also placed just right and varies somewhat by the area of the sim you're in. The whole sim is similar to an underground city of Atlantis that has shifted up and out of the water. The gorgeous architecture, all with blue color tones, is very unique and definitely stands out in the crowd. Surrounding the architecture are small mountains with gardens and trees of their own. High above and over the sim, are little landings with gardens and poses for romantic meetings, all still with the same architecture as the others. The base of the build is all water with an abundance of beautiful bridges and glowing gardens of bright and colorful flowers. In the middle, among all the gardens, stands a majestic unicorn along with a couple poses...a perfect place for pictures!

Overall, Roan is a true work of art and no detail is left undone. I just love that blue is the prominent color. Many poseballs are scattered about the sim and are anywhere from romantic couples poses to dream dances or meditations. There is an area of the sim where dolphins and whales are in abundance and alot of fun to watch. Also, there are many glowing, sparkling and artistic type objects here and there. Even the flowers in the gardens glow! What's really neat is when you set your environment to midnight and watch the colors and glowing effects covering the region. So gorgeous! This sim and Lumera (underwater fantasy world) are both must-sees! Enjoy :)

Urban Elf

Another beautiful ensemble by Kira Lavendel of MysticHope Designs was recently released. Mourning Bride comes in several colors and I purchased the pink, because I've always loved the color combination of pink and black. One of my favorite things about Kira's designs are how vividly colorful most of them are, without being gaudy of course. Plus, the fact they come in a good range of different colors to choose from. I went into the city to purchase the outfit, then I put it on and managed to get lost! I ended up in some not-so-good parts of town, but eventually found my way out after taking several pictures with the outfit. This design is so unique and feminine with its gorgeous sleeve and waist detail. These feminine touches are just the right combination with the black bodice, hat, gloves and boots. The outfit also comes with a lovely choker and ornate knife with holster. I know it's supposed to be for "mourning", but I just had to wear it now!

New From Selina Forder of Elvenbreath

Selina Forder of Elvenbreath has done it again with two new beautiful outfits! Both are versatile and can be dressy or casual. Yes, they have the signature Selina details and textures that make her designs stand out that much more with style and character. While I was in the Elvenbreath main store, I also noticed some beautiful tattoos by Lublu Unplugged, a couple of them brand new. One of the tattoos, called Tribalflower, is a freebie! I have several pictures of both designs and one of the tattoos.

Bold In Bronze

Quite often, I plan to focus on a particular fashion piece I feel deserves the credit and is of great style and quality. The couture I'd like to feature today is called Gryphon Bronze by Eclipse Lykin of ED. This piece is of strong, durable leather and a thick knit and comes in a rich, deep bronze color. Along with being very nice to look at and full of beautiful details, it's truly functional for the active elf. It comes with oodles of parts and features, including, a short-sleeved and long-sleeved shirt, short-sleeved and long-sleeved jacket, shoulder shawl, a belt with holster, gloves, hood, pants for boots or no boots, boots, stockings, shorties and garters. Of course everything can mix and match and the color is so neutral, alot of pieces can be worn with other outfits in your inventory. The boots are my favorite and I wear them with many other outfits :) You can find the store, Eclipse Development, in world or on XLStreet. Shopping Spree

I needed some new clothes in a most urgent way, so decided to do some shopping the other day. I happened upon a store that carried all varieties of elven and medeival enticements. Yes, I indulged in a few new outfits, well, I'd say about 7 or so. I tend to spend alot of time in one place until I know I'm making a good decision and getting the most for my money. I finally arrived back home with my purchases and could hardly wait to try them all on! That's what I spent the rest of my evening doing. I took my time with each outfit, looking at each one in the mirror as I did a few model spins per piece. I loved all of them, although there were a couple that were my favorite, so I know I'll end up wearing them twice as much or more than the others. Now I feel prepared to explore Elven Forest, a place I'd heard so much about. I think I'll sleep now, and do that tomorrow. Yep, shopping is hard work and tires a girl out!
