Christmas Red

I just had to do another holiday post, yet it can be generic too. I love Christmastime and all the music, colors, lights, snowmen, feeling in the air and the list goes on. Red's a great color and I decided to focus on formalwear this time. I visited the beautiful Lost Gardens of Apollo for this series.

Urban Elf

Another beautiful ensemble by Kira Lavendel of MysticHope Designs was recently released. Mourning Bride comes in several colors and I purchased the pink, because I've always loved the color combination of pink and black. One of my favorite things about Kira's designs are how vividly colorful most of them are, without being gaudy of course. Plus, the fact they come in a good range of different colors to choose from. I went into the city to purchase the outfit, then I put it on and managed to get lost! I ended up in some not-so-good parts of town, but eventually found my way out after taking several pictures with the outfit. This design is so unique and feminine with its gorgeous sleeve and waist detail. These feminine touches are just the right combination with the black bodice, hat, gloves and boots. The outfit also comes with a lovely choker and ornate knife with holster. I know it's supposed to be for "mourning", but I just had to wear it now!

Green and Blue Mix, With Just a Touch of Glitter

This is one set of sleeves showing the glitter detail

Green and blue is one of my favorite color combinations. Add a touch of sparkle and shine, and it looks just fine :) Evie's Closet has a beautiful gown set called Aventine in this glorious color mix of jewel tones. It's made to look like the colors are blended together with a touch of iridescence and tiny sparkles here and there. I also love the fact there are so many mix and match pieces, including a shorter skirt, short and long pants, two choices of sleeves, and two choices of longer skirts. My favorite is the longer pants with the shirt, which is casual yet classy. As always the detail is amazing and the fit is wonderful!

Breezy Easy

I love Evangeline Miles' design called Nereida. It wears so well and the fit is outstanding, plus the fabric is soft and breezy. I purchased it in Coral, but it also comes in Pearl, Seafoam (bright blue), Anemone (Periwinkle), Wasabi (green) and Flotsam (black) . I just love Evie's Closet because every one of her designs is beautiful in some way. Whether it's the color tones (including the way she mixes colors in one outfit), the detailed trims, the cut, or the way the design fits and flows on the body, she definitely continues to create the highest quality and truly original pieces. Nereida is an example of how good the fit is, plus the mix of colors used and the way the skirt hangs and flows is lovely. When you purchase one of the designs, you get a short and long skirt, along with optional pants to go with the shorter skirt. Even the arm wraps in a sheer feminine fabric are gorgeous! I bought a few other pieces when I visited Evie's Closet, so I'm sure I'll be featuring them soon, so stay tuned :)

Bye Bye Butterfly

If nothing ever changed, there'd be no butterflies...

The end of summer and warm, sometimes HOT days are soon gone. I don't want to say goodbye to all the lovely butterflies flitting through the sky! With all their beauty and so many fashions that include them, I just had to do a butterfly blog before summer is completely gone :D

A butterfly hovers closely
And then quickly moves away,
Swiftly going wheresoever
Her heart may freely say.

A butterfly lowers and rises
With the wind's gusty breath,
As if coupled within a dance
Of a loving tenderness.

I thought the butterfly headpiece above was such a cute idea! It's so bright, cheerful and seamless, plus the feature of being able to change ALL the butterflies (skellyflies that is...the butterflies have tiny skeleton heads, hehe) wings to different colors/shapes is wonderful. That way you can match just about any outfit, or not match, whatever your heart so desires.

I thought this skin from Redgrave was so pretty. She has so many makeup choices in such a good variety. They're not all just eye shadows and liners, but she also adds tears, smears, and nice designs like the one above. Alot of unique choices, plus her skins are amazingly realistic!

The butterfly only knows
How it feels to have wings,
To kiss the petals of flowers
In such elegant flitterings.

To have but one moment Of such an exquisite flight, Would be like a dream Where all seems so right.
